Lev Rachel, Beit Natan’s national telephone helpline, was founded over 20 years ago. The helpline is a source of support for individuals and families dealing with diagnoses, treatments and the impact of cancer on the patient and the patient’s family.
The helpline is manned by specially trained volunteers who are recovered cancer patients themselves. More than 500 cancer patients and/or family members use the line annually, seeking help and hope.
Based on the peer group support model, the Lev Rachel supervisor pairs callers with volunteers who come from similar social, cultural and medical backgrounds, making Lev Rachel a powerful resource for personalized help.
